Wendy Shay addresses BBL Allegations in Furious X Post

BBL Allegations

Sensational Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay has responded to critics who claim that she underwent plastic surgery to enhance her physical appearance.

The “Uber Driver” hitmaker addressed the claims on her X platform on July 10, 2025.

Wendy Shay expressed frustration over the allegations hurled at curvy African women that they must have undergone cosmetic surgery. She reminded critics in the X post that African women have always had naturally fuller bodies, even before BBL procedures became a trend.

She clarified that her current appearance is the result of natural weight gain in certain areas, which might explain why some people now suspect she had work done. Wendy was firm in stating that her physique is entirely natural and stressed that it’s not her responsibility if people are only just noticing it.

Reflecting on her early years in the music industry, she mentioned how she faced body-shaming, which may have contributed to the public overlooking her natural shape at the time.

“So y’all want to tell me before BBL Africans didn’t have a natural shape like mine? What’s with this BBL tag… Is it because I have gained at the right places? Y’all should get a life and stop being naive. What you are seeing is 100% natural and it is not my fault y’all didn’t realise it earlier because of the Bullying when I stepped into the game.

“I’ve got it since! Clearly, humans will always have something to say. It’s either your booty is too big, too small, or too fake. Mind your business! Africa, Wake Up!” Wendy Shay wrote.
