Ex-Arsenal Star Thomas Partey appears in court over ‘rape’ allegations

A Westminster Magistrates’ Court has granted Thomas Partey conditional bail on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. The former Arsenal midfielder faces multiple charges of rape and sexual assault.
Thomas Partey has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
Sources have indicated that the charges date back to incidents involving three women and are reported to have happened between 2021 and 2022, a time when Thomas was still playing for the North London club.
Thomas Partey is accused of two counts of rape against one plaintiff, three counts against another, and one count of sexual assault against a third.
He appeared before a Westminster Magistrates’ court to respond to the charges. Mirror.co.uk describes Partey’s demeanour in court as quiet. He was dressed in a black zip-neck jumper and stood in the dock with his hands behind his back. He was granted bail, and the conditions include: restrictions on contacting any of the alleged victims and a requirement to notify police of any permanent change of address or international travel.
The case is scheduled to continue at the Old Bailey on September 2.
