TGMA 26 Nominees To Be Announced This Saturday

It’s TGMA season again. Ghana’s most prestigious and highly anticipated music awards event, Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) is set to announce its nominee list for the 26th edition on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

The event will be streamed live across all Ghana Music Awards social media platforms, allowing fans, both foreign and local, to see if their favourite musicians made the nominee list for this year.

The call for nominations was launched way back on January 21, 2025, by Charterhouse.

Artists, producers, and various music groups were encouraged to submit their works released between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024, for consideration.

Musicians were urged to file for nominations by submitting their works published between 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2024 for consideration by the board.

The deadline for submission was scheduled for February 16.

Charterhouse revealed that there was a shocking turn in applications this year with more than 1,500 applications received from over 130 artists and music groups from different genres.

After the submission window closed on February 16th, a group of seasoned stakeholders conducted a thorough evaluation process to select the best contenders for each category.

Each entry was meticulously examined using clearly defined criteria, ensuring that only the most distinguished artists and projects made the final list.

Following that exercise, the final list of nominees was then scrutinized and approved by the TGMA board and other significant industry players.

Over the years, the Telecel Ghana Music Awards has been the biggest night of music in Ghana appreciating Ghanaian music, talent, and culture while also rewarding musicians for their hard work and toil. The nation waits in anticipation for who gets nominated for what this year.

The main event is scheduled to take place on May 3, 2025.
