Stonebwoy Calls for Unity in Ghana’s Music Industry

Award-winning Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artist Stonebwoy, is calling on Ghanaians to put industry rivalries aside and offer unified support to local musicians.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen, the internationally acclaimed performer stressed the importance of solidarity within the creative space. He noted that while disagreements and competition are not unusual in the music industry, they should not stand in the way of national support for Ghanaian talent.

Citing examples from other countries, particularly Nigeria, the “Into The Future” hitmaker highlighted how their music industry continues to thrive despite internal differences among artists. He attributed that success to a culture of patriotism, strong fan loyalty, and unwavering public support for homegrown talent.

Stonebwoy also took the opportunity to advise fans, bloggers, and media personalities to refrain from fueling division by taking sides in artist disputes. According to him, such conduct undermines the collective growth of the industry and distracts from the bigger picture.

Currently on a world tour promoting his 5th Dimension album, Stonebwoy continues to receive international recognition. He concluded his remarks with a passionate appeal for Ghanaians to adopt a more united and supportive approach toward the creative arts, urging the public to “be more intentional” in their support for local musicians.
