Robert Klah Explains DopeNation’s Absence from TGMA 26 Nominations

Dopenation
The Head of Communications and Public Events at Charterhouse Productions, Robert Klah has revealed the reason why Dopenation was visibly absent from this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards TGMA nominee list.

According to him, the musical duo did not file for nominations this year and observing this, the board tried reaching out to them but the brothers did not respond.
This development comes amid raising concerns about the group’s “snub” at TGMA 26.
Fans were predicting Dopenation to be at least nominated in the ‘Best Group’ category given their loud and continuous advocacy for the re-inclusion of that category at the TGMA.
In addition, the group had released one of the biggest songs ‘Zormizor’ during the year under review hence their absence from the nominee list was bound to raise eyebrows.
Robert Klah shed light on the issue stating “One would expect that on a platform like this, in the year under review, their place would certainly be established. Unfortunately, when there was no filing and we tried to reach out for consent, we couldn’t get it.”
Therefore, the air has been cleared on the issue and the TGMA board cannot be blamed for Dopenation’s absence from the list.
After this revelation was made, DJ Slim took to X, formally Twitter to query the the group about the authenticity of this claim.
“I’m hearing, you guys didn’t file for nominations and when the research team picked up your songs, you guys were not responsive to the award scheme. How true is this?” He asked.
Dopenation replied this tweet claiming that they had been battling a lot that they cannot disclose due to respect for some people in the music industry.
Their response has only raised more questions as fans and netizens are curious to know what could be holding them back to the point of not filing for award nominations.
