President Mahama warns against corruption.

Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama has made a strong statement against corruption, warning that the country is no longer a safe haven for those who engage in corrupt practices. In his bid to tackle corruption, President Mahama received a report from the Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) team on Monday February 10, 2025, which has identified 2,417 cases of suspected corruption and looted state assets.

President Mahama emphasized the need for accountability and transparency, stating that the government will stand firm with those who prioritize integrity.
He assured citizens, civil society, the media, and public officials that the government will work together to build a nation where honesty and hard work are rewarded.
The ORAL team, led by its Chairman Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, aims to recover looted assets and generate $21.19 billion for the country. The team has presented 2,417 cases to the President, which will be investigated and prosecuted to bring those responsible to justice.
