According to her, the investigation led to the arrest of a suspect who was charged with kidnapping but is now formally facing a murder charge.
COP Donkor recounted the disturbing details discovered by forensic teams at various crime scenes.
Investigators discovered horrifying evidence upon visiting the suspect’s residence.
“A forensic inspection revealed the following: Blood stains in the living room and evidence of attempted cleanup. Freshly sprayed walls and an empty can of spray paint.
A search of a secondary crime scene near the GBC satellite area also uncovered a burnt wooden carpet stained with blood and partially burnt camouflage fabric. These items were photographed, retrieved, and processed for forensic analysis,” COD Donkor narrated.

At this scene, police discovered more blood stains, which were photographed and processed to be analyzed by forensics.
In addition, the investigation led to the discovery of “a fufu pestle with blood stains all over it, wrapped in polythene.” This was retrieved from the bushes about 100 metres from the suspect’s house.
The suspect’s vehicle was also impounded, leading to the uncovering of more blood stains.
COP Donkor announced the confirmation of the initial blood samples collected to be human blood. Charged with this forensic evidence, the suspect, Bright Aweh, was arrested again and formally charged with murder.
The suspect is currently on remand after appearing before the Adabraka District Court and is scheduled to reappear on August 8, 2025.
