Police Busts Suspected Fake Security Personnel at Ablekuma North Polling station

Arrest in Ablekuma
The Ghana Police Service near the Awoshie DVLA polling station in the Ablekuma North Constituency has arrested several individuals wearing brown uniforms and posing as security personnel.
Sources revealed that the individuals were unable to properly identify themselves when confronted. This resulted in their arrest and transfer to the Odorkor Police Station for further questioning.
The suspects were positioned close to the entrance of the polling centre, and their failure to produce valid identification documents raised concerns among the officers deployed to maintain order and security during the ongoing parliamentary election re-run.
During an interview, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga West and Dean of MMDCEs in the Greater Accra Region, John Desmond Nii Sowah Nai, confirmed the incident. He stated that the police suspect the individuals may not be legitimate members of any recognised state security agency.
The police are still investigating to determine the true identities of the suspects and their intentions.
