Police arrest husband for biting off wife’s ear during a domestic fight

Dambai police have arrested Emmanuel Addai for allegedly biting off his wife’s ear during a domestic dispute. A court granted him bail, but Addai is expected to report back to the police on Thursday, September 11, 2025, to assist with investigations.

The incident happened at Banka, a community in the Dambai township. According to reports, Addai had returned from a funeral at Wonkayaw when he allegedly attacked his wife, Madam Cecilia Fordjour, while she was preparing a meal for him.

Police sources have indicated that the suspect will soon be arraigned before the Jasikan Circuit Court.

The assault, which took place on September 5, left Madam Fordjour with severe injuries. Her ear, which was bitten off during the scuffle, could not be surgically reattached due to the delay in getting to the hospital. She, however, received other forms of medical treatment.

Law enforcement officials say investigations into the case are still ongoing.
