Otto Addo warns Black Stars to stay focused in game with Madagascar

Ghana Black Stars Coach, Otto Addo has urged the players to stay focused in the upcoming game with Madagascar and avoid complacency to make it in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana is now topping Group I after winning their game with Chad on Friday, March 21, and a win over Madagascar could pivot the team to lead with five points.
“It’s very, very important that we stay focused until we’ve made the job, and now it’s the whole focus about Madagascar,” he said.
“We really, really want to win this match, we want to have a clean sheet, and this is what we’re looking for.”
The coach therefore insists that the upcoming game will be a tough one that should be treated as a final game.
“This is like a small final, and if we win this game, then we are really going to qualify, but it’s going to be very, very tough.”
While the team has scored 11 goals in their last three matches, coach Addo reiterated that past results do not guarantee future success. The Black Stars will be facing Madagascar on Monday, March 24, 2025 at exactly 7pm in Morocco.
