NPP bans billboards, banners, and posters at 2025 National Delegates Conference

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced a strict ban on all campaign-related items like billboards, banners, posters, T-shirts, flyers, and branded souvenirs ahead of its 2025 National Delegates Conference. The directive, issued by Joseph Osei-Owusu, Chair of the National Planning Committee, applies throughout the entire event, including before and after, and covers the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra, where the conference will be held.
The ban also includes any form of campaigning within the city of Accra and around the conference grounds. Teams have been set up to enforce the rules, and any campaign materials found will be removed and destroyed. Grounds staff and compliance monitors will be on constant patrol to ensure everyone follows the directive.
The goal is to create a neutral, focused environment where decisions are made without the distraction of campaign activity. The party wants the conference to reflect its constitutional purpose not turn into a rally.
The NPP is also urging non-delegates to stay home and follow the event through TV or other media channels. The conference is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025, and the party says it’s committed to holding a peaceful, well-organized event that upholds its democratic values.
