Mahama encourages youth of Ghana to embrace digital skills

President Johnm Dramani Mahama has called the youth of Ghana to embrace digital transformation, discipline, and education. According to him these are essential tools for success in the modern economic landscape.
He made this call during the 2025 National Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations held at the Black Star square on March 31. President Mahama highlighted the importance of the youth of Ghana to the future of the country, who must take conscious steps to equip themselves with necessary skills to be able to compete in the evolving global economy.
In his address, the president stressed the need for the youth to embrace digital tools and technology, as the world is gradually shifting toward a digital economy.
He said, “To our young people, I say Ghana’s future is in your hands. In this era of digital transformation of economic challenges and global competition, our youth must equip themselves with the skills, knowledge, and discipline necessary to be able to thrive. Our youth are the ones who will shape the country’s destiny.
He continued that as leaders of the country, the government will do its part to create enabling environment to give the youth the opportunities they deserve. He also encouraged the youth in Muslim communities to take advantage of these opportunities.
The Eid-ul-Fitr celebration is an important event on the Islamic calendar, marking the end of Ramadan.
