King Paluta’s “Aseda” featured in the Music and Creative Arts paper of the 2025 BECE

Ghanaian musician and songwriter, Thomas Adjei Wireko, popularly known as King Paluta, was featured in Section B of the Music and Creative Arts paper of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)
The candidates were asked to mention two significant social issues that King Paluta’s song “Aseda” addresses, and this was Question 4 (c) of the exam.
While some were confused about the relevance of such a question, some also considered it a testament to King Paluta’s impact on the culture and society of the Ghanaian people.
This also serves as a reminder of how powerful and transformational music is. Music challenges our perspectives and reshapes our ideologies, and contributes to the moral values of society.
King Paluta’s fans celebrated the talented singer and commended him for using his talent and platform to inspire and educate.
Reacting to the news, King Paluta took to his social media platform ,X saying, “I don’t know if it’s true, but I heard there was a question in the BECE exams today about me. I’m popping the champagne already.”
The Basic Education Certificate Examinations for 2025 end today with Arabic being the last paper.
