Hundreds of NPP youth organisers pick nomination forms for Bawumia

Over hundreds of youth organizers within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flooded the party’s headquarters in Accra on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 to pick the presidential nomination forms on behalf of former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

The group comprised of various regional and constituency organizers from the country in NPP-branded attires and souvenirs, singing and chanting party slogans and patriotic songs to champion the Bawumia presidency bid.

A youth organizer, Isaac Obeng, speaking to the media called the gathering both a celebration of young people and a hope in Dr. Bawumia.

“We are here today to pick the form for our incoming president, Insha Allah, Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia. We believe this is a gift to him.”

He also noted the unity and enthusiasm in the youth from various locations to make the occasion a significant one.

“You can see here representatives of youth organisers from various constituencies who have come to pick this form, and from here we will move to his residence, his campaign office, where we will officially present the forms to him,” he said.

Obeng also expressed deep confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership as the right one the country needs.

“We know that, Insha Allah, this day is the day Ghana’s destiny will be rewritten. What the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has done and continues to do shows that the things Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia accomplished as Vice President are exactly what our country needs.”

The youth organizers will proceed to the residence of Dr. Bawumia and campaign office to present the forms to him.

So far, other groups have picked nomination forms for Kennedy Agyapong and Dr. Bryan Acheampong ahead of the presidential primaries in January, 2026.
