Hajia 4 Real Set to Return to Ghana After Serving One-Year Sentence

Ghanaian social media influencer and musician Mojna Faiz Montrage, popularly known in showbiz circles as Hajia 4 Reall, has completed her year-long sentence at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia and is expected to be released today, 22nd May, 2025.

The 32-year-old mother of one was charged with conspiracy to receive stolen money from romance scams. Following her release, she is expected to return to Ghana.

Hajia 4 Reall faced a prison sentence after being found guilty of involvement with a West Africa-based criminal syndicate that engaged in illegal activities online, including romance scams and internet fraud. These activities involved duping vulnerable older men out of over $2 million.

It had been established in court that Hajia 4 Reall allegedly received funds from almost forty victims. These funds were reportedly deposited into US-based bank accounts under false pretenses.

Hajia 4 Reall was extradited from the United Kingdom to the United States in May 2023.

The socialite was officially sentenced on June 28, 2024, by United States District Judge J. Paul Oetken after she pleaded guilty to the charges in February 2024.

The sentencing includes three years of supervised release, a forfeiture of $216,475, and a restitution payment of $1,387,458. Her legal team reportedly proposed a timeline for her return to Ghana, which the sentencing judge approved.  

Hajia 4 Reall’s lawyers also assured the judge and the court that the socialite is committed to turning a new leaf and starting her life anew without fraudulent or criminal activities.
