Desmond Ofei to focus solely on Black Stars, GFA says

A restructuring strategy at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has sent Desmond ofei back to his position as assistant coach of the Black Stars from his role as the head coach of the Black Satellites.
Desmond Offei has had the responsibilities of coaching the U20 men’s national team or the Black Satellites, successfully leading them through to the forthcoming WAFU A and B U20 Championships.
He will now be fully assisting the Black Stars head coach Otto Addo in getting them ready and prepared for some upcoming international games.
According to the GFA, the shuffle is necessary to enhance the performance of the national team. The statement from GFA read, “Coach Desmond Ofei… will focus exclusively on the Black Stars, after leading the Satellites to the upcoming WAFU A & B U20 Championships.”
Charles Sampson who was also an Assistant Coach to the Black Queens has been assigned to the Black Princesses as part of the restructuring strategy.
The association says these new strategies are essential for “preventing scheduling overlaps and role duplication” in order to ensure “stronger focus, technical preparation, and consistency” across the various national teams.
