Accra Tourist Information Centre catches fire

Fire Outbreak at Accra Tourist Information Centre
Fire broke out at the Accra Tourist Information Centre, located opposite Afrikiko in Accra.
Thankfully, staff from The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) arrived on time and swiftly contained the situation.
Officials report that the incident began around 1 am. The GNFS National Headquarters dispatched the first fire engine immediately to contain the blaze.
A few individuals who were present at the scene recounted that the blaze may have originated from the kitchen area of Rockz Waakye, a popular food joint in the area.
GNFS managed to stop the flames before dawn, and thankfully, no injuries or casualties were recorded. The extent of damage to the facility has not yet been confirmed, though officials say parts of the building were affected.
Authorities are yet to commence an investigation into the situation to determine the cause of this incident.
