Gyakie Releases Official Trailer for her Upcoming album

Ghanaian songstress, Gyakie
Ghanaian singer and songwriter Gyakie has released the official trailer for her upcoming album After Midnight, giving fans their first real taste of what to expect from the project. The album is scheduled for release on August 29, 2025.
The trailer, which she shared on her social media pages on August 18, quickly set off conversations among music lovers, with many hailing it as her boldest move yet. Shot with a cinematic touch by filmmaker Alex Piper, who has worked with international stars like Rema and Travis Scott, the short film traces Gyakie’s journey from her early love for music to her evolution into one of Ghana’s most prominent voices.
As the daughter of highlife legend Nana Acheampong, Gyakie’s artistry is deeply rooted in family tradition, but this album, she says, is very personal. Almost every track was recorded after midnight, a period she describes as her most creative and reflective hours.
The album is anticipated to explore themes of love, self-reflection, spirituality, and cultural heritage. Gyakie had released ‘Sankofa’ and ‘Unconditional’ as lead singles of the album.
With the trailer already building anticipation, many fans are marking their calendars for August 29, when After Midnight officially drops.
