Women’s African Cup of Nations 2024 quarterfinals begins today

The first game in the quarterfinals of the CAF Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) is slated for today, July 18, 2025.

Eight teams from the group stages made it into the quarterfinals. They include: Morocco, Zambia, Senegal, Algeria, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, and Mali.

With the price money of WAFCON increased by hundred percent from USD 500,000 to USD 1, 000, 000, every team is poised to lift the trophy.

On match day one, the Nigerian side, which has the most WAFCON win,s will play with Zambia at 16:00 GMT.  

Below are the fixtures for the rest of the matches;

Morocco vs Mali – 18th July, 19:00 GMT

Algeria vs Ghana – 19th July, 16:00 GMT

South Africa vs Senegal – 19th July, 19:00 GMT

The winners of this stage will battle it out at the semi-finals.
