Fire Outbreak Destroys Wooden Structures at Madina Ritz Junction

Fire outbreak

An unfortunate incident has occurred in Ritz Junction, Madina, Accra, where a fire outbreak has resulted in the destruction of several wooden structures, prompting a swift emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

The GNFS, in a post on their official Facebook page on Tuesday, July 15, confirmed that three fire tenders from the Madina, Legon, and Abelenkpe fire stations had been dispatched to the scene to combat the blaze.

“Rigorous firefighting operations are currently underway,” the post read, adding that personnel are actively working to contain the situation.

No current conclusions have been drawn to determine the cause of the outbreak, and no casualties have been recorded so far. The affected area is made up of closely packed wooden structures, which heightens the risk of the fire spreading rapidly, hence the swift intervention.
