Tottenham agree to sign West Ham’s Kudus for £55m

Tottenham Hotspurs has struck a deal with West Ham to sign Ghana international Mohammed Kudus for £55 million, subject to a medical and contract formalities. The 24-year-old forward joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023. He has impressed fans with 13 Premier League goals and nine assists in 65 appearances.
Despite an initial £50 million bid being rejected, Spurs eventually met West Ham’s valuation, falling short of their £60 million asking price. Kudus is expected to sign a six-year deal, showing his commitment to the move.
West Ham supporters are divided, with some unhappy with the sale and others questioning the fee. For Tottenham, this signing marks a significant step under new management as they aim to bounce back after a challenging 2024/25 season. The deal also paves the way for a potential move for Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.
Former vice president of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a staunch supporter of Tottenham Hotspurs, expressed joy with news of the transfer in a post on X and wished Kudus the best with his medicals.
