In recent days, Toase Senior High School (SHS) has been making headlines over allegations that final-year science students were required to bring a goat for their biology practical exams or pay a fine of 700 Ghana cedis.

In response to the allegations, the headmaster of Toase SHS has categorically denied those claims. He clarified that the school has never demanded any goats or imposed fines on students for practical exams or any other academic activities.

In an interview with a local media station, he said: “At no point did we instructor authorize students to bring or contribute a goat for any academic purpose. The Ghana Education Service (GES) and WAEC guidelines are strictly adhered to during examinations, and no such practice has occurred.”

The Ashanti Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken the matter seriously and launched an internal inquiry. Preliminary findings from the investigation indicate that no directive was issued by the school or any educational authority requiring students to bring goats or pay fines.

The GES assures the public that all examination activities at Toase SHS are being conducted in strict accordance with national standards and guidelines.
