Shatta Wale and YEA CEO, Malik Basintale
Ghanaian dancehall heavyweight Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., widely known in showbiz circles as Shatta Wale, has formed a new partnership with the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) to encourage and support young, talented individuals.
This new initiative, called the Shaxi Mentorship class, aims to nurture Ghana’s young, talented leaders and propel them to the global stage.
Shatta Wale shared this new partnership on his Facebook and X social media platforms. He was excited to have had a successful meeting with YEA CEO Malik Basintale, signaling the possible impact this initiative can have on the nation’s creative youth.

The caption read, “If you believe in your pen game… If your sound is different… Then get ready. Because you might be the one we’re about to put on that global stage!”
Shatta Wale further disclosed that this new initiative will utilize his platform “Shaxi” as well as YEA resources to give young, talented but underrated artists an opportunity to access expert guidance, studio recording sessions, and international exposure.
He added in his X and Facebook post caption, “this isn’t just talk — it’s action. We’re building something real for the street kings and lyrical queens,” highlighting the programme’s aim to develop authentic artistry in Ghana.
This development speaks volumes about Shatta Wale’s love for the Ghanaian youth.
From being a consistent advocate for the youth to launching Shaxi to employ drivers, and now this new initiative. This is proof that Shatta Wale is not just a musician, but a businessman and visionary who has the youth of Ghana, most of whom constitute his fanbase, at heart.
