Service Commanders present one month salary to the President in support of MahamaCare

Service Commanders in Ghana have demonstrated their support for the MahamaCares initiative by donating one month’s salary to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund. This collective contribution underscores the military leadership’s commitment to enhancing healthcare access for Ghanaians, particularly those battling chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cancer, kidney failure, and heart conditions.
The MahamaCares initiative, launched by President John Dramani Mahama, aims to provide financial assistance for the treatment of NCDs, which have seen a significant rise over the past decade. The fund is designed to alleviate the financial burden on patients requiring critical care, ensuring that life-saving treatments become more accessible to all Ghanaians.
President Mahama has also pledged to donate six months of his salary to the fund, encouraging corporate bodies and individuals to contribute towards this noble cause.
