CAF Holds Draw for African Schools Football Championship 2025

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) held the draw for the third edition of the African Schools Football Championship on Monday, April 21, 2025, in Accra, Ghana. The event, themed “Encourage, Educate, and Engage,” will take place from April 23 to 26, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The draw ceremony was attended by several African football legends, including Ghanaian legend Asamoah Gyan and Ivorian coach Clémentine Touré, who conducted the draws for the boys’ and girls’ categories, respectively
In the boys’ category, Ghana, the host nation, is placed in Group A alongside South Africa, Uganda, and Algeria. Ghana will face stiff competition from South Africa and Uganda.
For the girls’ division, Ghana is also in Group A with Morocco, Benin, and Malawi. This will be Ghana’s first appearance in the competition after missing out in the previous two editions.


The top two teams from each group will make it to the semi-finals and the winners will be competing in the grand final on Saturday, April 26, 2025
CAF is also rolling out youth-focused programs in refereeing, sports journalism, coaching, medical care, and safeguarding to support education, build confidence, and cultivate leadership among Africa’s next generation
