Police, immigration top corruption perception rankings in Ghana – Global InfoAnalytics

In a dramatic turn of event, the presidency, religious leaders and ministers/government appointees are now perceived to be least corrupt public institutions in Ghana today. Top on the table is the Ghana Police, followed by Ghana Immigration Service and Judiciary.
Compared to August 2024 Afrobaromter, Judiciary has climbed up while the presidency is now perceived as the lest corrupt compared to the August report.
The first National Tracking Poll of 2025 by Global InfoAnalytics has revealed that the Ghana Police Service and the Immigration Service are perceived as the most corrupt institutions in the country.
The poll, which assessed public perception of corruption across various sectors, placed the Police at the top with a score of 6.43, followed by the Immigration Service at 5.86.
Speaking in an interview, the executive Director and Head of Research at Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah made this known on Wednesday April 2.
The Judiciary ranked third with a score of 5.78, reflecting concerns about corruption within the legal system.
Tax officials of the Ghana Revenue Authority (5.68), local government representatives (5.63), and business executives (5.63) were also featured prominently in the rankings.
Other institutions, including the Electoral Commission (5.58), traditional leaders (5.51), and Parliament (5.47), all are perceived as moderately corrupt. The Prison Service (5.43), Military (5.27), and Presidency (5.27) scored lower but still raised concerns among respondents.
Ministers and government officials received the lowest score of 4.61, indicating relatively less public concern about corruption in this category compared to others.
