Police begin investigations into the killing of Kyidomhene of Brofoyedru

The Ashanti North Regional Police Command has begun investigations into the death of Kyidomhene of Brofoyedru in the Manpong traditional area.

On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the lifeless body of Nana Osei Bonsu was tragically found in a pool of blood near his car on the Boanim-Morim stretch.

Reports indicate that the late chief was on his way to deliver some items when he was approached by some unknown gunmen, who pulled him out of his car and shot him.

The motive has not been established for this murder yet and the late Chief’s mobile phone had been reportedly destroyed. The gunmen did not take anything from him.

Richard Nketia, Assembly member for the Dompem Electoral Area confirmed the situation and has called on police patrols to ensure security.

The body of the late chief has been deposited at the Mampong Government Hospital for autopsy and further investigations.
