Ghana’s reggae-dancehall sensation swept three awards at the just-ended International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA). The 42nd edition of IRAWMA took place in Florida, USA, and saw the attendance of various music giants.
Shatta Wale snatched the Best African Dancehall Entertainer awards, Best Music Video for “Killa Ji Mi,” and Best Crossover Song for “Commando” ft. Bounty Killer.
With this win, Shatta Wale extends his record as the most awarded Ghanaian and African artist at the prestigious awards. He now has a total of nine trophies from the IRAWMA.
In 2014, Shatta Wale won Best New Entertainer at the IRAWMA and has since thrilled fans and audiences with his captivating tunes. In today’s dancehall music, Shatta Wale has made a mark and crafted a path for himself as one of the biggest and most respected names in the dancehall genre.
