NAGRAT opposes appointment of GES Deputy Director-General
The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) has opposed the designation of the former Vice-Chancellor for Koforidua Technical University, Professor Smile Gavua Dzisi, as Deputy Director-General for Management Services at the Ghana Education Service.

NAGRAT indicated that in spite of her credentials, she is not fit for this role and appointment.
Speaking in an interview, the National President for NAGRAT, Angel Carbonu, called on the government to invert his decision.
In a statement he said, “The person who was removed from that position was a professional teacher who rose to the rank of a regional director and was appointed as director of management services”.
He added that the GES is a professional institution which is within the Public Service hence, they will not tolerate the appointment of somebody who is not a practitioner within the service space. The Ghana Education Service is not an extension of a political office.

Angel Carbonu concluded by calling on the government to withdraw the appointment immediately. Claiming that Smile Gavua Dzisi is a professor and she operates very well in the university or the technical universities, but certainly not in the Ghana Education Service.
