Drogba from YOLO Makes Comeback After Battling Illness

John Peasah
Ghanaian actor, John Peasah also known as ‘Drogba’ from the hit television series YOLO, has made a vibrant return to social media following a long absence due to health issues.
Peasah had been battling with demyelinating disease, a neurological system disorder, which had caused him to withdraw from public life.
On March 11, 2025, Peasah thrilled fans when he posted a lovely video on his Instagram account, in which he was shown in high spirits with his YOLO co-star, Stephanie Younge.
In the video, Peasah appeared healthy and happy, participating in vibrant conversation and thanking Stephanie for her visit.
He captioned the post: “Your visit meant the world to me, especially knowing you had a long journey ahead of you tonight. Your selflessness and thoughtfulness are a testament to the kind of person you are, and I’m grateful to have you in my life.”

This is Peasah’s first public appearance since August 2024, when he purportedly obtained spiritual healing at a church event hosted by Pastor Enoch Ofori Boamah of the Christ Embassy Airport City Youth Church.
Before this, Peasah had been upfront about his health difficulties, with fans and other YOLO stars starting a GoFundMe campaign to raise $280,000 for his treatment.
Peasah’s health condition had caused a pause in his burgeoning acting career, making his recent recovery and return to social media even more significant.
Fans and colleagues have filled social media with messages of encouragement and relief, commemorating Peasah’s recovery and return.
The entertainment scene and fans eagerly await Peasah’s return to the big screens while she continues her journey to complete recovery.
