World Cup 2026Q: Black Stars determined to get positive results – Desmond Ofei

Assistant Black Stars Coach, Desmond Ofei has said the technical and the players are determined to make positive changes after recent disappointing games.
Desmond Ofei is one of the latest additions to the technical team of the Blacl Stars and he believes that the failure of not being able to secure a spot at the next Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has a huge hole in the hearts of Ghanaians.
The 37-year-old believes through a collective work the national team could get back on its feet once more.
“As we all know, it was a painful moment for us not to qualify for the AFCON this year in Morocco. But we’ve learnt a lot from the mistakes on and off the pitch and we feel like we are very hungry to try and rectify the situation,” he told the GFA Media team.
“Once again, it’s still hard work and through working together. We are willing to work really hard to rectify those mistakes.”
Ofei’s first official assignment since taking his role will be the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
He promised the team will deliver their best in the games to make Ghanaians proud.
Ghana will play against Chad on Friday, March 21 and against Madagascar in Morocco on March 24.
