Ayra Starr to star in Hollywood film alongside Viola Davis and Idris Alba

Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Ayra Starr has reportedly been cast as a leading character in an upcoming movie based on Toni Adeyemi’s ‘Children of Blood and Bone.’

Inspired by the popular novel written by Toni Adeyemi, the film tells the story of a young woman who is determined to restore magic to her people and end their suffering.

Starring alongside Ayra Starr are big Hollywood names like Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, and Viola Davis, just to mention a few, the highly anticipated movie is being produced by Lucasfilm.

Lucasfilm happens to be the powerhouse behind the film, Star Wars, and is expected to hit cinemas in 2027.
