Rex Omar appointed as presidential staffer for Black

Legendary Ghanaian musician and entrepreneur Rex Owusu Marfo, popularly known as Rex Omar has been appointed as the Presidential Staffer for the Blackstar Experience.
The Blackstar Experience, is an NDC flagship initiative for Culture, Arts, and Tourism brand that aims to redefine and affirm Ghanaian identity, attract investments, create new jobs, and increase tourism.
The initiative will undertake a year-round celebration in all major entertainment, artistic, and educational disciplines.
Rex Omar’s expertise and influence in the music industry and his role as a cultural ambassador make him the best figure in shaping the Black Star Experience.
He is expected to partner with the private sector to build an ultra-modern recreation
He will also use his knowledge to draw initiatives that promote Ghanaian culture.

Rex Omar’s career spans over three decades, during which he has produced numerous hits and won several awards.
He is highly respected for his advocacy for the creative arts and has served in various leadership roles, including as Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO).
His talent and knowledge of the music industry have gained him several positions in the industry as a former Vice President of the Copyright Society of Ghana and a member of the 2013 Committee for National Intellectual Property and Policy Strategy.
He previously headed the Business and Finance of the Musician Union of Ghana.
