Two Granted Bail After Sokode SHTS Clash

Two individuals, identified as the Secretary and Fiator of Sokode Gbogame, who were arrested by police after last Sunday’s violent clash between students of Sokode Senior High Technical School (SHTS) and youth from the community, have all been granted bail.
Among the released was the Asafofia, acccording to the assembly member for the area, Mac Billions Bansah.

A committee will also be formed to investigate Sunday’s incident. The clash, which started over yet-to-be-disclosed grievances, resulted in tensions between the school and the local youth.
Authorities are expected to use the committee’s findings to address the underlying causes and prevent future occurrences. Security personnel however remains on high alert in the area as stakeholders work towards restoring peace.
